Reformation’s 20s/30s (Young Adults) Ministry works to build faith and community for the young adults of the church through service projects, monthly social and fellowship events, and spiritual growth opportunities such as our annual retreat. We hope to make Reformation a place where young adults are spiritually fulfilled and are an important part of the church community. If you would like more information, or if you have an idea for a project or activity for the group, please contact Brian Hornbecker at brianhornbecker@gmail.com or 202-262-3071.

Emmaus Retreat: DC Young Adults on the Journey
This year’s theme: What’s Lutheran about my everyday life?
All young adults from the Metro DC Synod are invited to join us for the weekend of Sept. 17-19 for a retreat at Mar-Lu Ridge www.mar-lu-ridge.org—just over an hour from downtown DC. Get an early start by going out Friday evening or plan to arrive by 10 am Saturday. There will be some planned activities around our theme, but also free time for hiking, canoeing or doing the ropes course. It is a beautiful area, and we should hit the start of the turning leaves!
Overnight accommodations are available for both Friday and Saturday nights in cabins with full bath. Day-trippers are welcome, but please consider staying over 1 or both nights as there will be fellowship late into the night you might not want to miss! Meals will be prepared by camp staff and eaten in the dining area.
Suggested cost is $65/person to cover retreat expenses. Please indicate your contribution on the registration form which is available in the church office or from Brian Hornbecker at brianhornbecker@gmail.com.
